First Aid Training
I was first trained as a medic in the army in 1982 and since then have not let my qualifications expire, keeping up with First Aid practices as they change.
After working for The Royal Brompton & Harefield NHS trust for almost 5 years, I have moved on and gained my First Response Emergency Care Level 4 (FREC4) qualification, and then advanced that slightly with a Safe Administering of Life Saving Meds (S.A.L.M) qualification and a wound closure course, as well as naloxone and Penthrox training.
I am also a qualified UK Resuscitation Council (Resus Council) competent First Aid Instructor, recognised by The Health & Safety Executive (HSE), currently offering courses up to First Aid at Work (FAAW).
With almost 40 years of First Aid practice, I have been involved in treating many casualties outside of the hospital environment and am now keen to pass on my knowledge and enthusiasm for First Aid to you, so that you too have the confidence and skills to help those in need, either at work, in the home or indeed in the public domain.
What better feeling is there than knowing you have made a difference, which really could be, the difference between life and death?
